This week we wanted to give some insight on who practitioners end up interacting with when they are contacted by the ASA. When we have spoken to practitioners who have been harassed by the ASA, the people ‘on the ground’ they are dealing with have little or no understanding of natural health. As one practitioner put it when she was explaining how her training had provided her with the authority to be an expert in the area, she explained, ’it was like arguing with a 3 year old about something they had no interest in or understanding of’.
The Council consists of a mixture of lay people and those with a vested interest in broadcasting, journalism and charities. However, even when they call in experts these are not experts that have any training or background in natural health and so neither their professional staff nor their experts are able to competently adjudicate on anything.
